In 1986, what is now a major entertainment event in the southeast was started in a shopping mall parking lot drawing an estimated crowd of 750. With the upcoming 27th annual Riverfest scheduled for May 31st & June 1st, crowds at the two day event have grown to 25 to 35 thousand per night and have featured some of the biggest stars in the music industry.

    Since Riverfest began in 1986 as a small event in a mall parking lot, The Chamber has worked with local sponsors and retailers to make it a major entertainment event.
